Simpler Celebrates Successful Decade

There was much excitement among Simpler Law employees recently as we celebrated ten years since we were founded. Along with our sister companies Fidelis Legal Services and Northwood Banks & Co. we were invited to a spectacular black tie ball thrown by the HAIG Legal Group for all employees. More than 100 of the group’s over 150 employees attended the event at the Lincoln Hilton Doubletree, enjoying fine dining, dancing, entertainment, and prize and gift giving.

We’ve come a long way from when the company was founded by Andy Townsend, Ian Peace and Helen Claydon in 2016. Over that first year, trading then as The Planning Crowd, we took on just 19 members of staff and achieved an impressive seven figure turnover. Now, after ten years of strong and steady growth we have just passed the milestone of preparing estate planning documents for 220,000 clients. Excitingly, two of those original employees are still with us, now in senior management roles.

There has also been the foundation of the HAIG Legal Group, the launch of Fidelis Legal Services, and the acquisition of Northwood Banks & Co. over this period. Plus, we’ve needed to move to larger premises twice, opened new offices in Leicester and Manchester, and survived Covid! It has been an exiting decade of growth, helping many families plan for their loved ones’ futures, and winning the occasional award on the way. We already have plans in place with mean the next ten years will be at least as successful as our first ten.
