Simpler Law Attends the British Wills & Probate Awards 2026

On the 8th October 2026, we spent the evening in Manchester at the British Wills & Probate Awards 2026, named among many other talented individuals.

The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel was almost full on the evening of the British Wills and Probate Awards 2026 held by Today's Media, packed with the best talent of the industry. We were honoured to be there amongst them as finalists for three separate categories:
Estate Planning Firm of the Year - Large
Pioneers of the Year
Unsung Hero of the Year - Tricia Mistry
Competition was tough like always, and we were up against some incredible talent. Our sister company, Fidelis Legal Services, boasted a finalist of their own, Zoe Phillips. Having previously won highly commended Paralegal of the Year at the Modern Law Private Client Awards 2026, we are proud of her here at Simpler Law.
As a group we were also there as sponsors. Haig Legal Group was the official category sponsor for Contentious Practitioner of the Year. Throughout the past couple of months, excitement was building on the group's LinkedIn page, and with such a talented line up, we couldn't have guessed which way the night would go. We'd like to say well done to the winner, Andrew Learmonth of New Square Chambers, and highly commended, Scott Taylor Edwards of Moore Barlow for being recognised in this award.
Next year, will be even more exciting, however. Not only will it be the British Wills and Probate Award's 10th anniversary, but the largest celebration yet. The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel was a beautiful venue, but with such interest in the awards, they'll be taking the stage to the much larger Victoria Warehouse. This increase in size allows for even more recognition of talent in the industry and we believe it is important for smaller firms to receive an opportunity to shine.
We were glad to be there, as both sponsors and finalists, not only having a great time but celebrating the high quality of professionals in our industry.
